Official Rules – Beersbee Polish Horseshoes

TEAMS:
Take turns attempting to knock your opponent’s bottle off their pole! You must either hit the pole or bottle to score points. You can catch the bottle to avoid points. You must stay behind your pole at all times and not interfere with the disc in flight! Teams’ alternate throwing the disc until 21 points is reached!
SCORING:
2 POINTS – Knock your opponent‘s bottle off pole
1 POINT – Hit pole
FIRST TO 21 WINS!
• Place bottle on top of pole, try to hit your opponent’s pole or bottle to score points, one throw per team alternating and each player must stay behind their pole at all times.
• Catch the bottle when knocked off the pole.
• Throw the disc at either the pole or bottle to score points.
PENALTIES:
1. Interference with disc while it is in flight.
2. Step in front of pole while catching or throwing.
3. Passing disc between teammates must be thrown, not handed off.
4. Failure to keep a drink in hand at anytime during game play. Game can be played with alcohol or non-alcohol beverages. Please drink responsibly.
(1 free throw awarded for any of the above penalties!)
GAME SET UP:
1. Connect the three part aluminum poles by sliding them together, and inserting the snap locks to form each team’s pole. Adjust poles to desired game play height.
2. Install plastic score slider onto the top numbered scoring pole by sliding it on from the top of pole downwards. (Do not click it on from side of pole, this can damage the score slider.)
3. Install top plates and bottom foot pegs onto each pole.
4. Set up your poles approximately 30-40 feet apart or greater to increase game difficulty.
5. 1 or 2 players per team.
